This course is for people requiring First Aider status, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. This course can be certificated through First Aid Awards awarding body.
Who is the course suitable for?
While this course is designed for the work place these first aid skills are suitable for anyone who works as a Sole Trader, a Therapist, Hairdresser, or anyone who takes part in leisure activities and whoever needs the knowledge to look after family and friends.
Our first aid expert from Safety Mode will also cover non certificated information about baby and child CPR and choking in children.
This 1-day course is ideal for those businesses with low to medium incident risk. The students can carry out the duties of a First Aider with this training.
What you will learn
Participants will be able to update and refresh existing knowledge and will learn easy, straight forward and common sense ways of dealing with any given situation.
Participants will gain a sound theoretical and practical knowledge of first aid to include:

- First Aid Kits
- Airway Management
- Care of the Unconscious Casualty
- Resuscitation (2015 Guidelines)
- Shock (includes use of Epi-pens)
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Emergency First Aid at Work Course
- Confirmation of understanding through open response oral questions throughout the course.
Certification is dependent on successful practical and verbal assessment and certification will be through the First Aid Awards Awarding body which are valid for 3 years.
1 day (6 hours including breaks). Lunch will not be provided for the day so please bring a packed lunch.
£60.00 per person which includes a certificate valid for 3 years, First Aid booklet and refreshments.
